CREATE Series

Our stories are the fabric of society and the CREATE festival workshops are the hands that strip the leaves, peel the barks and soak the fibres in the running waters.  At CREATE storytellers will uncover, nurture and express their stories through their writing, poetry, song writing, performance and digital platforms.

Our first Create Program was a collaboration developed and delivered by First Nations producer Victoria Morganson, BIPOC ARTS AUSTRALIA and funded by City of Gold Coast. Create was a series of workshops and events run between October 2022 and February 2023, that aimed to engage and empower local First Nations and PoC creators through mentoring and collaboration. The Create Program began as a series of multi-disciplinary workshops and refined to focus on individual and collaborative short film outcomes.
