Subvert Social

Subvert Social was a bold and thought-provoking exhibition that challenged conventions and reimagined artistic expression through the lens of Brisbane artists. Curated by Ellen Cisneros and made possible by the BIPOC Arts Mini Grant, this dynamic collection showcased the work of local creatives whose pieces disrupted norms, sparked dialogue and celebrated cultural perspectives often overlooked in mainstream spaces. Held at Vacant Assembly, Subvert Social invited audiences to engage with art that redefined community, identity, and resistance in the contemporary world.
